Medical Electives Program is designed for medical and healthcare students who would like to gain first-hand experience in healthcare.
This program will allow you to experience medical practices in developing countries like Nepal. We organize placements for Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Midwifery and primary healthcare interns in government as well as private hospital. As an intern, you will be supervised and mentored by local healthcare and medical professionals in hospital. Our medical internship projects will be available in major cities of Nepal such as Kathmandu, Banepa and Pokhara.
What are the available duration for medical or healthcare electives in Nepal?
Our programs are available from 2 weeks to 20 weeks.
Note: Our programs are available from 2 weeks period. However, for better learning, it will be better to join project for minimum 4 weeks duration. 2 Weeks duration will be suitable for small groups or observers who are seeking medical travel holiday abroad.
What are the requirements to became a medical elective?
The first requirement is you should be medical student. Other requirements are as below.
- Age: min 18 years old
- Having no major health problems
- Studied minimum 2 semesters ( 1 year) at university/college
Are there any documents needed to join the program?
Official documents are required to take a part in medical internship program.
- Recommendation letter from university may require (Please consult with us)
- A valid student identity card
- Photocopies of educational certificates
- Few passport size photos
